Oohh, this is a very hot and debatable convo!
Spiritually:
I like what the article says about. Many people nowadays are still very confused by it.

Physically:
Our twin boys were born nearly 7 years ago. I didn't bat an eye at the thought of circumcision for them. I never knew any different. I just listened to my doctor. The procedure was very quick and they were back in my arms in no time, very upset of course. I remember looking at their little pee pee's and they were so bruised! I felt so bad for them!! They actually turned black at one point. I wasn't sure I would want to put anymore future baby boy's through that. They both seemed to heal with no problem. We did have to keep them lubricated for several days. They didn't seem to suffer from any PTSD or anything like that.
Fast forward 6.5 years and we welcomed Baby Samuel-3rd boy! I did research on vax and circumcisions. We decided not to do either. We did not like the idea of our precious newborn being strapped down w/out us and being mutilated. I kept praying and asking God for direction and discernment on the right decision. The NICU doctor would come in and very nicely and patiently ask me why we were considering not circumcising our new baby. I told him I didn't want to vax and he had to have the Vitamin K shot in case of trauma and being circumcising involves blood you have to have the Vitamin K shot. I was worried about the aluminum in the Vit K shot. The day we were discharged; just a few hours actually we decided to go ahead. If we did decide to wait and then decided to do it later it would mean putting him out to do the procedure. We felt it's easier to clean and less chance of infections to circumcise. Samuel's circumcision was quick and he didn't bruise at all! He was very red down there, of course, but he didn't really even cry when he went pee. We were happy with our decision and I think our boys will thank us later for doing so. They are so little when it happens and quick.
Now I've read the articles and watched the videos on how bad it is and all the risks. This is just the decision we chose to make. I'm not saying our decisions are any better or worse than yours, so please don't do that to me.
