Push It Under The Rug

I've learned a lot about people and my family when I moved out on my own and when my babies entered this world. And, it just amazes me who things, issues, problems and hurts go left undisputed about. Real, major issues that need dealing with. They just push it under the rug to be trampled on, walk on it, hide it, flattened out; where it is hidden. Pull the rug up though, it's all still there. You can't just sweep it under the rug and walk on and pretend nothing ever happened. Yes, there are some things that you need to leave under Jesus' feet. But, you need to make peace in your own heart, mind, relationships...Jesus is a peacemaker. And, he is so big on peace that he wants us to go fix the problem with that person who has something against us! So, how can we just push it under the rug and live with that junk for YEARS! Because you don't want to deal with your own problems, issues, hurts and see really what's in your heart. This applies to so many different levels!!! I know when I have an issue in my life, I want to talk about it! Even if it does mean the conversation means it might get a little heated! So what! Man up and work through it. Can you imagine how much more peace, joy and love you can have and to be able to give that to others if we work it all out in our hearts, others and Jesus. I realize people have blinders and just can't see and I hope their eyes are opened soon. You should always look at things/issues at all angles. Maybe, we all need to look from the outside looking in at our lives.
