A Woman's Hair Is Her Covering...

Power Before The Throne is wonderful book written by Ruth Harvey. I highly recommend you read it!

I learned so much from reading this book and am certain I will never go back to living the way I used to!

This is a book for those who want to live their lives in harmony with the will of God, a book that is personal, convincing, and scriptural.

There are a couple of things I would like to point out that really helped me.
It is shame for a woman to cut her hair. (Yes, I have. I repented and will not do it again!) I never caught that before!

"But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishounoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven (I Corinthinans 11:5). "for her hair is given her for a covering." (I Corinthians 11:15) It is her  hair not a hat or a veil. A woman cannot pray, cut her hair, and then six months later pray again. We need a lifestyle of obedience.

"For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: bit if it be a shame for to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered" (I Corinthians 11:6). It is a shame to cut your hair no matter how much is removed...shaved, shorn, sheared, trimmed. This does not mean a little wagging finger and saying, "Shame on you." Jude 13 says, "Raging waves of the sea, foaming out of their own shame; wandering stars to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever." DOING THINGS THAT ARE A SHAME CAN SEND YOU TO HELL! (Whoa!!!)

Some things that are a shame in the bible:

lying (Proverbs 13:5)
rape (II Samuel 13:13)
Folly (Deut 22:21, Prov 3:35, Prov 18:13)
Pride (Prov 11:2)
Stubbornness (Judges 2:19, Prob 13:18, Jer 3:25)
Nakedness (Ex 32:25, Isaiah 47:3, Rev 3:18, Rev 16:15)
Idolatry (Jer 13:26-27, Ez 16:52-54, Ez 44:12-13)

"For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. But if a woman have long hair, it is a GLORY to her: for her hair is given her for a COVERING (I Cor 11:!0, 15).

A woman's hair signals to the spirit world whether she is in rebellion or submission. The woman's hair displays the influence that controls her life. What is the first thing a woman does when she backslides? She attacks her head.She removes the glory. She loses her covering just like Lucifier lost his when he was cast out. No  longer a guardian of the glory, for she has rebelled.

We have a comfort to know that angels of the Lord are encamping around our families, diligently on guard against any intrusion of the enemy forces. We can ask for protection and plead the blood over our children and trust God to protect them if we are obedient to God's Word and have not severed the glory in our lives. If we are obedient we have spiritual protection over our families!!!

I truly enjoyed this book and I encourage you to read it! The Lord will minister to you!!
